i recall… central park in the fall… you ripped your dress, what a mess…

an old song my mom used to listen to was going around in my brain like a broken record the entire shoot with amanda & sal.  i think it is the only song i know about central park so it was fitting i suppose!

so what can i say about amanda & sal, i already posted a “sneak peak” blog post a few weeks back where i tried to put into words just how amazing this couple is (go back and read it to hear me at a loss for words).

we met these guys at the south street pier which was perfect for shooting!  a big ol’ historical boat with lots of textures, wood, doorways and… fish signs? (you’ll see)

see? fish signs!  what a great “warm-up” spot for this couple to get used to being in front of the camera eh?  alex was all “ok you guys, now let me see your best fishy faces”!

a wicked shot of the supah-hot couple with the brooklyn bridge behind them…

isn’t sal’s smile awesome?  his whole face lights up when he’s around amanda, i love it.

sliding in to get cozy…

and here we are, gorgeous central park… in the fall.  so romantic.

busy, but romantic.  there was some rollerskating dance party going on right in the middle of the park so amanda & hopped right in the middle of the action!  the music from this party was blasting so we were joking how the day couldn’t be any more perfect because everywhere we went, we could hear this background music which created a sort of soundtrack for our shoot.  it was cool.

this next shot was our “sneak-peak”.  no editing, right out of camera. i love it because there is nothing distracting around them, no fancy angles, no creative posing… just two people having fun, in love, joking around and being themselves without any thought of the camera and you can just see happiness.  pure uninhibited happiness.  man, our job is so cool.

amanda & sal sat and chatted while parisian music played.  just when we thought it couldn’t get anymore romantic, it did.

as we were saying goodbye, alex saw one last shot (he had already said “just one more” like 5 times).  so as a closing shot, on fifth avenue – outside central park (in the fall) as busy city busses zoom by, we bid amanda & sal farewell… until the wedding that is!  stay tuned for the wedding of the year in july 2009!!!
