i know, i know… i haven’t blogged in forever! bad blogger – bad. but we have been everywhere lately! we just got back from mexico (more on that wedding coming soon for sure) and we did one wedding the day before we left, then another one the day after we got back! i know crazy right? well they were all fun so it’s ok.
but as you have waited so patiently, i have a wicked wedding to post!!! as one of our first first spring weddings, we were excited to get shooting after a long winter. to get a beautiful spring day in may for this toronto wedding was great!!!
here’s lucas, the handsom groom. his whole face lights up when he smiles eh?
we just recently bought the sony hvl-lbp led video light. this light is sick!! the light can run up to 18 hours of continuous run time. no word of a lie, this next photo is a reflection in his tv. see, you don’t need fancy wedding venues… you can shoot anywhere – it’s all what you make it!!!
and over at the bride’s house the girls were gettin’ ready as well. dajana had the sweetest bridesmaids. totally low key, ready to help excited friends that made the morning so fun.
dajana’s dress was sooooo perfect for her. essence of australia
looooooove this next one. so hollywood.
over to the croation church for their indoor wedding ceremony. the day was flying by so fast!! dad looks so proud of his daughter & lucas looks just as proud!
awwwwwww…
for the formal shots (although as you see, lifeimages isn’t really formal at all) we headed over to a really cool location which alex had scouted out the day before. i gotta say, alex has a cool eye for seeing cool spots and this blue wall was so perfect for some funky ones.
for the photographers out there, this was shot with nikon d3 17-55mm f/2.8 the trick is to have a really steady hand, crank your f stop to f/16 and slow your speed down to 1/10 of a second. cool eh?
the next one just won an award of excellence in wppi’s 8×10 print competition! way to go guys – it was a team effort!
i love shooting outdoor wedding photos, look at the amazing skin tones and color. man these guys look like models hey?

through the vail shot
dramatic wedding image…
awww, so ramantic eh? ok so we do a few “tradition” shots during the day but it still feels warm and intimate, not stuffy traditional right? i love it.
once the photos were done, it was off to mississauga convention center (which is an unbelievable wedding venue) for the reception. sometimes indoor wedding receptions are ho-hum but the decor was great and it really showed the simple elegance of the couple’s style.
we’re always sure to get photos of the wedding cake and details, after all so much time was spent in preparation of today that it deserves some attention right? again, the all white color palate was beautifully done.
a stolen moment as grampa takes a break from all the action…

and the first dance. oh so beautiful.

and the last shot of the night.
dajana & lucas, thank you again for choosing us to be your photographers. you guys are awesome! my cheeks hurt from laughing so hard with you guys. we hope to see you soon!
