i know, i know.. it has been forever since i posted on the blog.  but as i settle back into the routine of blogging again, i thought i would start with a stunner.  an amazing and gorgeous wedding with none other than nikki from crimson photos.  nikki has been our good friend for about 10 years now!  8 years ago alex and i got married and we were lucky enough to have nikki capture it all for us.  so we were absolutely thrilled to come full circle and photograph hers!

we hadn’t met geoff until just recently but instantly fell in love with him.  he is so perfect for nikki (amazing how that happens eh?) and they make an amazing team.  two peas in a pod, fric & frac, hand & glove (etc. etc. etc.)

we start off the morning with geoff at the hilton toronto which was perfect since it had some pretty cool spots for wedding photos right there!  look at his killer smile!

we just stepped outside and we had downtown toronto to use as our backdrop for cool wedding party shots.  these guys look pretty good right?  good loookin’ bunch and sooooo easy to work with.  thanks guys – you made it super fun!

and then, over to the bridal suite where nikki & the girls were getting all dolled up.  the groomsmen had just delivered a present from geoff and so we were able to capture some beautiful moments unfold.  a few tears, a few laughs – that is what it’s all about folks.  love played out in fron of our very eyes.  love it!  awww, and he was so sweet too remembering nikki loves candy, a new book, a gorgeous necklace – he was so thoughtful all the girls in the room were just lovin’ it.

gotta get those wedding details, especially when you’ve hot hot shoes like these!

by the way, alex did admit to me that since nikki is also a wedding photographer, he felt kinda under pressure.  this is not like alex, after doing so many weddings he rarely gets the gitters but in a room full of girls he had to hold it together and work the photo magic.

the dressing room was so mariah carey!  it had these high fashion vanity lights from floor to ceiling – oh hollywood!

off to the wedding ceremony which was held at emmanuel howard park united church, a beautiful church.

awww and nikki was in tears the minute she saw geoff…

it’s official!  such joy in their faces eh?  admit it, that just made you smile, didn’t it!

ahhhh, this was soooo funny!  the confetti was great but no one thought that it would actually stick to geoff’s hair gel!  those little sparkly things were in the rest  of the night.  great shots of the newlyweds coming out of the church though!  you took one for the team geoff!

off to harborfront where the boat was waiting.  we snuck in a few quick shots at the radisson hotel admiral – toronto harbourfront

what do you do when it is pouring rain on your wedding day?  sneak inside a parking garage staircase and get some totally intimate, totally smokin’ wedding photos!  nikki and geoff were up for anything so they got close and cuddled and here are the results.

using just available light, we walked around finding cool locations along the way.  good thing nikki knows what it is all about!
